ABS-CBN contract star actress Ara Mina shared that she has been single for almost a year now.
In an interview with Ara Mina during a press visit in Pililia, Rizal for the network’s television series "Ligaw na Bulaklak" the actress said that she is enjoying the advantages of being free from romantic commitment.
"Kahit wala kang boyfriend mas madami kang friends mas may time ka nga with your friends. Kapag nag-boyfriend ka minsan parang gusto niyo kayo lang dalawa. Eh ‘di enjoyin mo muna yung single ka," said the actress.
She also joked that as a loveless woman she does not have to pay a high phone bill that usually happens when she is in a relationship.
But Ara Mina is still hoping to find her Mr. Right... and soon.
"Sana naman bago magtapos ang taon ma-meet ko na yung special someone ko," the actress said.
Right now, the actress is in love with her job and her career. She is busy taping "Ligaw na Bulaklak" with actress Roxanne Guinoo. In the series, Ara Mina plays a villain who will do anything to ruin Lea’s (Guinoo) life and to get her man, Francis (Marc Abaya).
"Ligaw na Bulaklak" airs Mondays to Fridays after ABS-CBN’s noontime show Wowowee. Ara Mina or Hazel Reyes-Mathay in real life started her career as a member of "That's Entertainment."
The turning point in her career was when she won the Best Actress Award for the movie "Mano Po" in 2002. She was a member of the longest-running gag show in the country, "Bubble Gang."
Nowadays, aside from being busy taping for "Ligaw na Bulaklak," Mina is also focusing on her food business "Cafe Mina."
She will also launch a healthy drink named "Easy Cleansing" that aims to help people prevent colon cancer. Ara Mina is also a recording artist. She is scheduled to do shows both out of town and out of the country.
